The Natural Indigestion Treatments I Swear By During The Holidays

For me, the holidays wouldn’t be complete without great meals with friends and family.

Although I always bring a few plant-based, anti-inflammatory dishes to our festive table—like this sweet and salty squash soup—I also love to indulge in the richer recipes of the season. That said, I sometimes over-indulge (who doesn’t?), so I always keep a few natural indigestion treatments at hand for the night of and the morning after.

Whenever I do these three things, I experience less bloating, better elimination, and more energy after a holiday celebration. Keep these tips in mind for your Thanksgiving dinner, Christmas lunch, NYE brunch, and beyond!

My 3-Step Indigestion Treatment Game Plan for the Holidays
  1. After a Big Meal: Bloat Be Gone | I always stash a sachet of Kayo’s Bloat Be Gone drink mix in my purse and mix it with a glass of water for an after-dinner nightcap. It contains all kinds of natural ingredients that help the body break down food more easily—aloe, dandelion, and marshmallow root—plus fennel and l-glutamine to soothe gas and gut inflammation fast. If you only do one indigestion treatment, make it this!
  2. The Next Morning: Warm Water with Ginger | I always drink water as part of my morning routine, but warm water, especially, helps widen the blood vessels in your body to get your digestion moving. And if my stomach is feeling off from holiday cocktails the night before, I’ll add a few thin slices of ginger—a root that’s known to provide nausea relief
  3. Later That Day: Vital Greens | If I’m feeling the effects of a sugar crash, I know that Kayo’s Vital Greens Superfood Powder Drink Mix will give me the energy boost I need to power through the day. (It’s basically the same feeling as chugging a green juice.) Just mix a scoop with water for a major hit of anti-inflammatory, skin-loving nutrients and detoxifying greens—think organic chlorella, spirulina, and wheatgrass.

So there you have it—the 3 indigestion treatments I can’t live without during the holiday season. Let me know if you’ve tried any of these, or if you have any other questions about holiday eating—you can find me on IG at @christinebullock or @kayobodycare!
