When Kayo first launched in 2015, body care was still an afterthought in the beauty industry. Back then, I was still slathering my luxury facial creams on my body—I couldn’t find any high-performance, clean products for the skin below my chin. Of course, Kayo changed all that by creating the face-grade body care® category, and Body Beautiful Cream was the OG formula that started it all.

Why is Body Beautiful Cream such a hero product?

My goal was to take a product that most people use every day—body lotion—and pack it with age-defying ingredients that keep skin healthy and glowing.

A lot of these ingredients might look familiar, since they’re all staples of skin care for the face:

• Hyaluronic Acid holds 1,000 times its weight in water, delivering major hydration to smooth rough patches and fine lines. 
• Kayo’s Signature Omega Oil Blend locks in all that hydration while nourishing skin with essential vitamins.
• Coenzyme Q10 helps preserve and amplify collagen production for more even, youthful-looking skin
• Goji, Acai, Noni, Pomegranate, Green Tea, and Mangosteen extracts are rich in antioxidants that help protect skin from environmental damage.

We also wanted to make sure Body Beautiful Cream was as clean and safe as possible. Like all of our formulas, it’s free from questionable ingredients such as parabens, phthalates, PEGs, and dyes—and it’s also vegan and cruelty-free.

What gives Body Beautiful Cream its yellow color?

After using colorless body lotions forever, people are sometimes surprised to see that Body Beautiful Cream has a yellow tint. No, it hasn’t gone bad—coenzyme Q10 has an orange color—it’s just a sign of how clean and powerful the product is!

We don’t believe in vanity ingredients—you know, the ones that are listed on the label, but only present in miniscule amounts. With Kayo products, every key active is included at meaningful levels, so you actually get the results you’re looking for. A higher concentration of ingredients means a higher concentration of their colors.

The other reason Body Beautiful Cream looks the way it does is that we don’t add dyes or bleach out ingredients’ natural colors, like some other beauty brands do. (We like to think of it as the no-filter approach to product formulation.)
