- SUGAR | I’m not talking about whole fruit, I’m talking about the white sugar, brown sugar, high fructose corn syrups, maltodextrin, dextrose, and brown rice syrup (all the syrups) that manufacturers add to foods. These break down precious collagen and elastin over time, so check your ingredient labels. I love monk fruit or stevia for sweetness instead.
DAIRY | A lot of people don’t realize they have a dairy sensitivity or
intolerance. If you struggle with acne, you’ll definitely want to look into this
as a potential solution. Milk naturally contains a cocktail of growth
hormones that can influence your own and increase pore-clogging oil
production. Great for a growing baby but less so for us adults!
ALCOHOL | I hate to say this one but in truth, alcohol is deeply
dehydrating for the body and for your skin. It causes inflammation and
creates a histamine reaction that makes your skin red and irritated. Alcohol
is well known to leave your skin vulnerable to free radical damage and
