One of the most common questions I get about Kayo supplements is: “Which is better for stress and anxiety, Stress Support Adaptogen Capsules or Chill Out Premium Cannabinoids?” The short answer is that both are seriously helpful on busy days—but they do have slightly different benefits. Let’s break them down, shall we?
Adaptogens and cannabinoids, defined
Adaptogens are plants that have a stress-protective effect on the body. Some, like rhodiola, help reduce fatigue. Others, like gotu kola, help you stay focused and alert. And then there are adaptogens like ashwagandha, which actually help reduce cortisol (a stress hormone that’s responsible for weight gain, thyroid imbalance, and other health issues.) All of these adaptogens are found in Kayo’s Stress Support supplement!
As for cannabinoids? These compounds, found in hemp plants, can also help the body navigate stressful times. They interact with the endocannabinoid systems in our bodies to keep our nervous, endocrine, and immune systems balanced, and they also have anti-inflammatory properties.
So basically, adaptogens and cannabinoids both do a similar job, but they go about it in a different way. Think of it like the difference between lunges and squats—both will strengthen the lower body, but they target slightly different muscle groups.
With adaptogens and cannabinoids, timing is everything
Just like a good booty workout includes both lunges and squats, there’s a place for both adaptogens and cannabinoids in your wellness routine.
I always recommend taking our Stress Support Adaptogen Supplement in the morning, as it’s formulated to improve energy, focus, and memory when taken over time. Along with ashwagandha, rhodiola, and gotu kola, it also includes l-theanine—an amino acid that keeps you calm without making you drowsy.
Then, when you’re ready to wind down for the day, it’s the perfect time to take Chill Out Premium Cannabinoids. Some people find that high doses of hemp cannabinoids like these make them sleepy, so if you’re one of these people, it’s best to take them before bed. (Side note: They are non-psychoactive and will *not* get you high!) Plus, this supplement contains passionflower, a plant that helps you sleep more soundly at night.
As someone who’s always juggling a million tasks, I love that Stress Support and Chill Out help me stay balanced around the clock—both when I’m hustling hard and when it’s time to relax—and target my body’s internal stress management systems from multiple angles. I have a feeling you’ll feel the same! If you have any more questions about adaptogens or cannabinoids, reach out on IG at @christinebullock or @kayobodycare!
